It's Monday and It's August.

Seriously, where has the summer gone?
On the knitting front, I can report I have managed to do a small amount of knitting. I am making a pink alpaca sweater for my cute little girl. It has short sleeves and a different stitch design on different areas of the sweater.

For the little man, I have started the Simply Stripy Baby sweater that can be viewed on Ravelry, or I will try to get some photos up soon of works in progress.

I have washed the fabric for a patchwork jumper for the girl, and I will soon begin to cut the pieces out.

On the cooking front, We have zucchinis coming out of our ears, so I have been making stuffed zucchini, zucchini chips, and summer veggie pasta salad.

I don't want to see winter come back too soon, but I am ready for some releif from the heat. I am ready for 60's and 70's. Enough of the 90's.

If anyone has more recipes for zucchini, please let me know. I still have a pile of them. I also have been making salsa and freezing it. We have more cherry tomatoes then we know what to do with at this point. I love fresh Veggies though. You cannot beat it.

Happy July 4th weekend!
So I haven't blogged in many months, here is why.

William was born July 3rd and weighed in at 8 lbs 14 ounces!
He is a good baby and now I am learning to juggle an almost 4 year old and a new born.
Knitting you say, well not yet. I did manage to arrange some ufo's in the order I want to work on them and get them finished. My next accomplishment will be to knit a row on something!

I plan on starting to knit and sew very soon, but it has not happened yet. I just look at my pretty stash and admire it.

Monday Blues

I woke up in a funk today. I think it is just Monday Blues, cold weather, and all this rain this weekend.
I think some retail therapy is in order for the day.

I finished one elephant chart on the double knit baby blanket last night. Yeah!!
I have to say, that I will get all of my knitting stash under one roof within the next 4 weeks, and I am so happy. I have missed being able to look at my books, and my yarn, and my pretty fabric.

Now I am ready for some sunshine, coffee, and some knitting.

I have no title for the post today.

On the knitting front, I have finished another DK strip of the elephant blanket. Yeah. I have to get a camera up here to do some pictures. Right now all of the pictures taken are on my phone and then get put to facebook.

Non knitting, It is going to be over 60 DEGREES today! Can we say starbucks and a Park to run z around! I have to say I am so ready for spring weather. I want my windows open, and the weather where a sweatshirt , jeans, and flip flops are the dress code.

I Am back, and I promise I will keep my blog up a lot better.
New since the last post? Well...............
We have a new bundle of joy expected this June, and We have relocated to Dublin Ohio.

On the knitting front, I have so many project in the fire, as usual, I will post some Pictures soon. I am working on some baby items, like a little cabled sweater, and a double knit baby blanket.
A knitted monkey for my monkey, a Dale of Norway Fair Isle baby sweater, my afghan squares, a hat, 2 pairs of socks, that is just to name a few UFO's .

On the sewing side, I almost have Z's rag quilt done, and I have to make her Abby some clothes. I also am making a couple little patchwork drawstring purses.

We will be moving into our new house in about 7 weeks, and it will be nice to have everything out of storage.

New Spring Sweater!
Here is Ms. Z in her new spring sweater from Grandma June. Isn't she adorable?
Grandma made it just for her out of a cotton yarn. It has Reindeer ( we are calling them Moose) on the pockets. Well done Grandma!!!

Lots of Craziness

It is time to blog finally, I know.
Life is just crazy and busy.
First of all, My baby is going to be 1 on Saturday!!! What a quick year. It has gone by so fast.

I am still trying to get my head around family, have a baby, and running a business.

We went up to our family's lake house for a very nice vacation last month, and we didn't want to come back. Ahh, but we did and it is back into the grind.

Last week my poor puppies were sick from something. They either ate something bad, we don't know. The good news is that I think they are both coming around now. But for the last week and 1/2 my DH has labeled our house the House of Vomitorim. That is my new word of the week.
Vomitorium.

You know it is bad when you 1 year laughs when the poor dog throws up.

We have had no air at the shop all week, and it was not much fun. The new ac is going in tomorrow, though so we will be back in the cool.

All kinds of silly things have happened. I feel like I should have seen multiple black cats, or walked under 20 ladders.

I did finish my sweetie's cherry dress and she had her 1 year old pictures in it today. I will post a picture of it soon.

All done

I spent all of my holiday weekend moving things and building.

I have a new yarn room/craft room. I am very excited about this. I bought a bunch of cool shelving units from Ikea a few months ago, and just now able to get it assembled. I will have to post a few pictures of it when I am totally done, but I have to say I am a little embarrassed. I could open up Lambikins East with what I have in my personal stash. AND,
I even set up my sewing machine on my new sewing area!! For those who know me, I have not gotten along in the past with sewing, but I am taking a bag class, and I am going to try to become friends with the machine.

We also set up my DH's new office furniture.
I went up and down our stairs at least 100 times this weekend.

So, new yarn room and exercise. What more could a girl want?

Sock Wars III

I have to say, I am working on my socks, however I am at turtle pace I believe.
That is ok. I will have them done soon and I will take a picture. I just don't have time for pictures yet. It is knit knit knit!!!
There was some confusion about the pattern, and I am to the heel so we will see what happens. I am doing an 8 stitch repeat, but some are doing a 9 stitch repeat. I will find out about this heel tonight.

Miss Z is 8 months old!

There will be some knitting in this post. Miss Z is wearing her adorable bonnet that her "Grandma Betty" made for her.

Things that are on the needles right now, a monkey, a pacifer clip holder, Cashsoft chunky sweater for me(yummy).

We are busy trying to baby proof the house at the moment, so knitting has taken a backseat for a few days.

Weekend Knitting

Tonight is hubby's boys night out so do you know what that means?
If you said knitting, and a nice glass of wine, you would be correct.
I am going to work on a couple of sweaters that I have going for me.

I did finish 2 pairs of socks for miss z. I will try to find the camera to take a picture of these. I made them out of KnitCol, and they are sooooo cute!!!

I have decided that I love baby socks. They go so quick. Small feet. Gotta love them.

Miss Z and her Dale Fair Isle

This is my cute little miss z in her 6 month Fair Isle sweater.

I currently have a cardigan Fair Isle sweater going for her, a packers hat going for my brother, some socks, and 2 shawl knit alongs going. I will take some pictures of those when I actually have a camera nearby.

Swatching and knitting and baby oh my!

This first picture is Miss Z in her adorable Splash Dress made for her by her Aunt Sara. She just can fit into it now, and it is perfect for this cold weather we now are having.

This was my swatch for the Spring Shawl Surprise knit along. I am doing it out of the Lacey Lamb. I have started this knit along, but I am not far enough to show anything yet.

This is Miss Z's Dale of Norway Flower Fair Isle sweater. I have a hat done, and the pant are 1/2 way done. I only have 15 more rows to go until the sweater is done.

Merry Christmas to everyone

Miss Z says Merry Christmas to everyone. She as usuall hammed it up for the camera for her Xmas photos.

On the knitting front, I am very near completion of a couple of projects. I am hopeful to get in a little knitting time over the holiday. If this happens, I will post the projects next week. I do not have the camera with me today, so I cannot post the pictures of the projects in progress right now.

Bring on the Food!!!
Today is a first for little Z. Cereal. Yum. She is awaiting the bowl.
What is this gooey stuff that they have placed in my mouth?
Oh, I do not think I like this, Sam I Am.

Well, Ok, it is not that bad then.
So this is how our first food experience went tonight. By the end, she didn't think it was too awful.

On the knitting front, I am excited to say that I have joined to kal's starting in January.
They are secretofthestole ii, and springshawlsurprise. I am looking forward to these.

I am working on Miss Z's Fair Isle Flower Baby Dale outfit right now and the hat is done and the sweater is more than 1/2 done.

Today we had our 4 month pictures taken, and Miss Z now fits into some of her knitted sweaters.
She was not too happy with the photographer today, and kept giving him "the Look". I did manage to get her to smile at least once.

My two Month Little Z

Isn't she cute? I can't believe that she is two months old already.

She is definitely a ham for the camera.

Now I am ready for the camera.

"And now, let me tell you something else" . I think that she might be a future chatterbox, she has a lot to say, and she definitely talks with her hands.

OK, these pictures had nothing to do with knitting, but everyone was requesting more pictures.

I am currently knitting a couple of hats, a baby Einstein coat, and of course some sweaters for myself. Also on the needles are socks, and a new lace project.

Miss Z is growing like a weed.
We are doing an Einstein Coat knit along at Lambikin's, and she will be receiving one as well.
I will have to take some more pictures. I feel like there is not enough time in my 24 hour day.

The Last 9 Months!

So I have been busy over the last 9 months. This is the new addition to my world. Little Miss Z was born July 26th, and isn't she adorable? I Have new pictures and I now know how to make them appear on this computer I am using at home. It is not my normal computer so it has taken awhile for us to get acquainted. I know that I have not blogged much here, but that will change now.

This is who I have been making all of the cute baby clothes for, and she has also been the lucky recipient of some awesome knitted apearl from friends.

There is not much else to blog about, we are currently in the sleepless stage of life at night and sleepwalking stage during the days. However, This I know will pass, and really, isn't she cute?

A new Post Finally!
OK, It has been awhile. I have been busy knitting on baby items, this is one of my most recent finished items. It is a raglan made from RYC Cotton Jeans. I Love this yarn. I have finished a few other things, but I did not have them around for photos this morning.

I have been working on my spinning as well, but it is not coming as quick as Susan's.

Project Wanna Bee's!

Ok, First project to be.
This is Rowan Summer Tweed, and I LOVE it!!

This is what it is going to become. This is a pattern from the new Spring Rowan Magazine.

This pile is Claudia Handpaint and Gems Opal yarn. 9 multi's and 4 solids.

This is what the pile above is going to grown into. Donna and I are doing this one together. We got this pattern at Stitches Midwest last summer, and are now ready to start.

I am still working on all of my UFO's, and I am about to complete 3 of them so I can start dreaming of my next projects to fill those bags.

Back to Knitting
I know, it has been awhile.
This is a picture of the Baby sweater I made for my friend Mindy's new little man. I couldn't show it before November, and then I just had issues with blogger. I made it out of RYC Cashsoft Aran.

These next two picture are a new sweater for my little Molly. She saw what the weather was going to be this week and since she outgrew her puppy sweaters, it was time for a new one.

This is my RYC Cashsoft DK Baby sweater. It is almost done. I have to finish the bands and then sew it together. YEAH!!!

I am knitting on a bunch of projects, but these are the ones that are done or almost done.

Snugs, warm snugs!

Alright, these are the snugs pre felting and pre bottoms sewn on. They look like socks for the Grinch!!!!!!

I mean, really, look at these huge things. I have one more liner, and 2 bottoms to make before felting, and then, I will have warm feet.

So this is my Cashsoft DK project. It is a little hooded baby sweater and this yarn is soooo soft. I love it. I am now done with the fronts, but it has taken this long to get blogger to cooperate with posting pictures.

This is my JOJO Silkroad Ultra. I almost have the back done, This is definitely a Juicy yarn!

And here it is ladies and Gentlemen, the Cocoon shrug. Yes, it is finished. I am so glad and excited that it is done. I do have to steam it, and weave in a few ends, but it is done!!! My outer rows on this thing had somewhere over 600 stitches. Whew!!

My New guilty pleasures!

Now, I have many projects going, and do I need to start more? NO, but am I? YES!!!
This first one is out of Jamieson Shetland DK. These are my colors, and............

This is my new project out of these colors. This is A Kimono and it will be awesome when it is done, but first I have to do my gauge swatch I guess.

Now, October is Malabrigo Knit A Long month at Lambikins, and this is my project.

This is my gauge swatch and I love the color. I have got it cast on now, so I can't not knit on it.

This is my ongoing Brioche Stitch sweater out of Naturwolle. I love this yarn.

Other projects that are going and soon to be done are my Cocoon Shrug, some socks, and a couple other sweaters.

So much to knit, and so little time.

Alright, I will Blog!!!!

It has been a crazy spring and start to summer. Spring flew by, April was crazy, May we had Annie Modesitt at Lambikins, and then I think I was gone most of June traveling. Now it is July and almost the middle of this month!!!

So the first picture is my cocoon shrug from Annie's class. It is not done yet but a work in progress.

So, after may came June. At the beginning of the month I was in Indianapolis for TNNA which was as much fun as usual. We shopped for all kinds of cool things for the shop. After that is was off to Vegas for a girls weekend. We had a blast. The best story of that trip is that my mother and her friend bought a box of band aids in the gift shop for $10.00. yes that is correct. The sales girl told her that they sell so may of those and they fly off the shelves. Yeah right. After opening the $10.00 box they found s coupon. It EXPIRED in 2004!!! Yes indeed they sure sell a lot of those!

This is a little tie sweater that I am making out of Premiere yarn from Classic Elite. It wraps around and then ties. This is a 6 month size.

This is my silk sweater. It is Yarn Source Passion and I love this yarn. I am making a short sleeve top out of it. This is the Orchid color.

Olympic and World Competition!

Here is my Olympic project which has gone into the world competition for skating I have decided. So while watching women's figure skating this weekend I am now seaming the afghan together. Yeah!!!!!
This is a picture of the first row sewn together.

And, after much wait, I have started one of my Malabrigo Colors. This is such awesome yarn.
All I can say is yummy to knit with. I am making Klaralund out of this luscious color.

More Projects in my mind!

This is my Fair Isle Swatch for the beautiful bias fair isle pullover from the Loop De Loop book. This sweater has been calling me for awhile and so now it will be knit.

I have the back done to the baby sweater and one front. I have my yarn picked out for my Chunky Alpaca Log Cabin Afghan, and of course I am in training for the Olympics by doing some swatching.

Knitting Olympics

I am going to compete!! I am going to do the Community Afghan from the Handknit Holidays Book. This is a 96 square Afghan. 16 days to knit this, sew it together, and then do a border around it. And, instead of doing the 8 colors it calls for, I am going to do 25 colors!!

As I am knitting on the Baby sweater, and my Fair Isle hat tonight, My children are finally asleep. They have tugged all day and Molly barked non stop. We have a wonderful fire in our fireplace and it is raining outside. I have a glass of wine in front of me, and my knitting. Great TV tonight, what could be better.

It is going to be a busy week, but I vow to post more project pictures this week.

More Finished Projects!!

This is a Finished Toque hat for my father for Christmas. I know what you are thinking, that I am a little late but here in our world we have declared Xmas goes thru January 31st so that we can have all projects done in time. This is made out of the yummy Malabrigo yarn.

In staying with the spirit of Another Day, Another Sweater girl I am starting more projects, but more like every 4 days, not every day. I have a baby sweater, baby blanket, Misti Alpaca Chunky blanket, and a Soft Tweed cabled sweater coat in the plans. I am finishing things as well. I have way to many UFO's to complete. I stopped counting at 52.

This is Miss Thing in her new Fair Isle sweater. She would not stay still long enough for a great picture, but you get the drift. She is very stylish in her salmon sweater. Unfortunately we are not cold enough here at the moment for her to enjoy it.

Phantom Knitter

My First post of my knitting blog. I am calling myself this phantom knitter because one common thing that I hear from multiple people is that they never see me knitting, but I produce multiple projects.

This is a very blurry picture of my DH's new sweater.

This is just an enticement to more projects that I am working on and I promise that the photography gets better. This was a rough evening and the camera would just not behave for me.
